Get prepared for the long offshore race together with Garmin, the skipper of Pro4u Patrik Forsgren and ORC:s brief to weather routing scoring introduced for long offshore races in 2024. This evening will help the teams to prepare for the opening race of the European Championships – the long offshore race.

The event is organized together with The Gold Sponsor of the Europeans 2024 and The Official Partner of the long offshore race, Garmin.

Patrik Forsgren, skipper of Pro4u has a long track record of winning. He has multiple wins in both World, European and Nationals. Pro4u has also won many Round Gotland Races. The boat has an exclusive setup of instrumentation and Navigation SW onboard and have over the years developed a soffisticated system on how to get the most out of the equipment. In this clinic, Patrik will share his wisdom and talk about how he use all the information to sail in the most efficient way.

In connection with the event, we will also go through the Weather Routing Scoring (introduced by ORC in 2024) that will give each competing boat a handicap based on the optimized route and predicted elapsed time for the long offshore race.
