Nordic Offset, founded in 2008, are pioneers in an industry that is now seeing growing demand for its expertise. Based on their extensive knowledge and experience, they continue to serve their clients as leading experts in climate responsibility. Climate issues are at least as relevant today as they were 16 years ago.
Their operations have evolved with their clients' needs, expanding from climate expertise to a broader range of ESG services. With their expanded service offerings, they have updated their name to Nordic Impact as of May 2024.
From climate to broader ESG services
In climate and sustainability actions, it is crucial to understand their impact. Given the significant challenge and limited time, investments must be directed towards actions that achieve the greatest possible positive impact. Nordic Impact strives to maximize the positive impact and profitability of their customers' businesses.
Over the past 16 years, the operating environment has changed significantly. For example, the EU has tightened regulations aimed at reducing climate emissions. Through national laws, this regulation affects businesses. This framework raises the requirements for corporate responsibility reporting to the level of financial reporting and extends it to a broad business field. Nordic Impact supports their clients in identifying and implementing impactful and relevant sustainability aspects and measures, as well as in preparing related sustainability data as part of reporting and stakeholder interaction.
Alongside legal obligations, it is important to consider the business opportunities that sustainable development brings. Resources should be allocated to developing innovative solutions that mitigate climate change in both the short and long term.
New Nordic Impact ESG platform makes data collection easier
As the reporting workload will be considerable, there are significant benefits to be gained from having efficient tools. To meet this need, Nordic Impact has developed an ESG platform available as a SaaS service, enabling companies to determine their direct and indirect greenhouse gas emissions (Scope 1-3) according to the GHG protocol. The platform brings together all data related to CSRD's E1 climate standard emission calculations in one place, allowing real-time review. In the future, other information and data points required by the ESRS standards for sustainability reporting will be added to the platform.
The platform solution will allow for more accurate data comparison between years, while also facilitating data quality improvements on an annual basis. This feature is important as the CSRD requires annual updates of calculations. It is also worth noting that the platform differs from other greenhouse gas emission calculation tools on the market, for example in that it always includes expert verification.
